Dr Wood is the co-founder and principal dentist at Jacaranda Dental. With over 30 years of dental practice experience, she is committed to excellence and passionate about creating healthy, beautiful smiles for her patients.
About Me: “I don’t know how you can do this job!” is something I hear from patients quite often, but the truth is, I absolutely love what I do. With 30 years of clinical experience, I have honed the skills needed to solve complex dental problems and make a genuine, lasting difference in my patients’ lives.
While managing acute dental emergencies is deeply rewarding, my primary joy comes from helping people maintain long-term oral health. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside patients through different stages of life, caring for multiple generations within the same families.
Our Dedicated Team: Another aspect of my work that I deeply cherish is my team. I am fortunate to work alongside a group of local women, many of whom have been with me for years. They are entirely invested in patient care and keep everything running seamlessly every day, giving me complete confidence that our patients are always well cared for.
Invisalign & Orthodontics: I have a special interest in Invisalign and orthodontic treatments for both children and adults. Treating entire families—mums, dads, and kids—is a regular highlight of my practice.
Working with younger patients carries a profound responsibility: guiding their development correctly to set them up for a lifetime of health. For adults, treatment often focuses on correcting accumulated structural or bite issues to restore a natural, beautiful smile.
Collaborative Care: At Jacaranda Dental, I collaborate closely with Glen to make complex, multi-disciplinary treatments simple and seamless 1. Whether preparing the bite and creating space prior to implant placement or managing comprehensive care, performing these coordinated procedures under one roof ensures our patients receive consistent, high-quality care 1.
Outside of work, I love being outdoors, so Cronulla is the place for me. I love running in the Sandhills and Boogie boarding.
I grew up in Grays Point and went to Kirrawee High, so I also love walking and mountain bike riding in the National Park.
The daughters are grown up and off doing life, so I get to make the most of living and working in Sutherland Shire.
